Dive Into Advanced – Google One, Google’s paid cloud storage service, has recently launched a new subscription plan. The tech giant now offers a more affordable subscription package compared to existing options.
According to Android Authority on Friday (September 13, 2024), the new plan, named Google One Lite, provides 30GB of storage double the free storage capacity offered by Google.
Although this new option offers more storage than the free tier, it provides less memory compared to the cheapest existing GoogleOne plan.
Currently, the most affordable Google One subscription plan offers 100GB of cloud storage.
Given its lower price, the GoogleOne Lite plan does not include additional features available in other subscription tiers. This means users can only access cloud storage without extras such as family sharing or photo editing features in Google Photos.
The service is being tested in several countries, including India, Brazil, Mexico, and Indonesia. However, it is currently available to only a select group of users.
While there is no information yet about its global release, it is possible that Google may expand this service to other regions in the future. The GoogleOne Lite plan is priced at 59 rupees in India, which is approximately IDR 10,000.

On the other hand, GoogleOne has reached 100 million subscribers worldwide since its launch five years ago.
This announcement was made by Google CEO Sundar Pichai via his social media account on X.
In his post, Sundar highlighted new AI features in Gemini Advanced and the upcoming integration of Gemini AI in Gmail, Docs, and more.
“We have just hit 100 million Google One subscribers! We’re excited to build on this momentum with our new Premium AI package (launched yesterday), offering features like Gemini Advanced, along with Gemini in Gmail, Docs, and more soon,” Sundar wrote.
The GoogleOne AI Premium subscription is priced at IDR 309,000 per month. Subscribers will receive up to 2TB of storage, Gemini Advanced, and Gemini integration in Gmail, Docs, and more.
The Basic and Premium plans are priced at IDR 26,900 and IDR 135,000 per month, respectively. The Basic plan includes up to 100GB of storage.
In addition to storage, Basic subscribers can access Google Exp, share their account with up to five people. Use editing features in Google Photos, and receive notifications if their data appears on the dark web.
Premium subscribers get up to 2TB of storage, along with similar benefits as Basic but with expanded storage capacity.
Please note that pricing, features, and availability of GoogleOne services may vary depending on the user’s region.
